Wordless Wednesday … and it’s raining again
It’s been stonkering down at our place for a few days now and this lake-in-the-making is the view from my office at work. Who would have thought that the grass was crispy dry not so long ago?
I do feel a bit sorry for the rain – people complain about the heat and the dryness when it’s scarce and then are pissed off when it’s pissing down. I’m ok with it though, as there are now full tanks for flushing, drinking and showering PLUS any excuse to kick the washing basket aside is A-ok. Besides, life’s simplest pleasure would have to be drifting into dreams with rain on the roof as a soundtrack.

I don’t mind the rain…once in a while. The amount we’ve had over the last few weeks can kiss my you-know-what. I love the excuse to stay inside and do nothing for a couple of days, but I feel like I haven’t seen the sun for weeks and it’s making me mental!

I must say I’ve had enough of damp clothes and towels here … ick! Good work getting a load out .. I can hear the dryer whirring in the background, again!!

Oh my you can send some rain my way. We have had so little summer we are going to have to buy some for our tanks.

I gladly would Tamara, we’ve more than our fair share and buying to fill the tanks is suckky – we only had to do it once, thankfully. Hope you get a decent drop soon – though you know the minute you order your water load, it’ll bucket down!! x

Oh wow, there’s a lake outside. You will have to get a boat home! I don’t mind the rain, I just hate being cold. Winter and me aren’t good friends.

I know Alicia – lucky I was watching from inside and not stuck out in it! I’m no lover of winter either and would love perpetual spring or autumn!! x
